The Palace and The Victoria Hotel have again shown their commitment to the environment. To further enhance their contribution towards a more sustainable future and be in line with the Eco certification of both hotels, they have partnered up with Rausi Co Ltd, agents for Mil-tek Recycling Equipment.  All cardboard from both hotels, is collected, baled and sold for recycling. Not only does recycling cardboard and paper reduce waste costs but it frees up space, generates revenue and reduces the impact on the environment. Commenting on the equipment James Galea, Food & Beverage Manager for the hotels, “With the help from Rausi Co Ltd, we are currently baling 600kg of cardboard a week which is sent for recycling. Besides generating a revenue we are also reducing the carbon footprint on the environment as previously we had to dispose of 4 skips of cardboard a day. Rausi Co Ltd have assisted in giving us consultancy and training to get the process right. A waste audit was carried out and fed back the results to us.
