A special music festival #Sharethelove in aid of Hospice Movement is being held on Friday, 17 June at Valletta Waterfront Cruise Terminal with live local bands and musicians. This activity is targeted for all the family.

The festival's main aim is to raise more funds for the Hospice Movement which will help them assist more Maltese families undergoing special treatments.

Gaia will be taking part in this music festival, along with guitarist Wayne Camilleri, Cushion, and The Crickets. The main artist and special guest of #Sharethelove will be Mitchell Brunings.

Born in Surinam, - a northern country of South America - and raised in The Netherlands, Mitchell Brunings had a plethora of musical influences from all over the world. Reggae, bossa nova, samba, soul, rhythm and blues, calypso, country, salsa, merengue, Surinam's own traditional music called Kaseko, and a host of other styles have had their influence on Brunings' raspy and soulful music style.

In August 2013, Mitchell had the opportunity to participate in The Voice of Holland - the original show which other countries, including America, now base their own competitions on and known as The Voice. The Voice of Holland catapulted Brunings into the spotlight; he was the runner up in the competition and his YouTube videos continue to put him in the limelight, even bringing him in contact with the Marley family. In 2015 Mitchell played the lead role in the Marley Musical at Baltimore's Centre Stage theatre. It sold out before the end of its run, and was the highest-grossing and best-attended show in the company's history.

Continuing to grow and hone his craft, Mitchell now brings his voice and music to stages around the world. He is thought to be one of the biggest music icons brought to Malta for the first time.

Entrance to this music festival is free of charge, but a €5 minimum donation at the door will go to the Hospice Movement.

For those who prefer to be treated as VIPs, there will be a VIP section against a €20 fee including direct access to bars and very close to the main stage. Doors will open at 7pm, but the festival starts at 8pm onwards.

All families are being invited to show their support to the Hospice Movement.
