Students interested in getting a subsidised study-loan to finance their studies abroad only have two weeks left to apply for this year’s Youth Specialisation Studies Scheme.
The deadline for applications is noon of June 17th, 2016.
The YSSS is a collaboration between APS Bank and Aġenzija Żgħażagħ. It has been running for the past two decades, and has so far helped hundreds of Maltese students take the next step in their academic career within the following areas: aerospace, health and biotechnology, digital games production, veterinary studies, agriculture and marine studies, youth work, sport, nature conservation, the arts and specialised restoration.
Students who shall benefit of the scheme may apply for a loan between €10,000 and €30,000 which is repayable over a maximum period of 10 years. A 1% government subsidy will be granted to the successful applicants.
The YSSS also carries a number of additional features such as a maximum repayment holiday of five years (depending on the duration of the course being pursued) as well as free travel insurance, a free VISA Debit Card for the first year and Purchase Protection Insurance cover for purchases effected with an APS VISA Debit Card.
