Over the past months, Bank of Valletta has been collaborating with various constituent bodies and corporate customers to organise a series of educational talks for their members and employees. In the course of these brief sessions, BOV representatives gave an overview of the different financial instruments available.
"Through these educational clinics, the Bank seeks to increase awareness about different lending and investment vehicles that can be utilised to meet an individual's financial requirements," explains Mark Scicluna Bartoli, Head EU and Institutional Affairs at Bank of Valletta. "As the financial world becomes increasingly more dynamic and complex, we feel it is our responsibility to support our customers by guiding them and offering all the assistance possible, so that they can then take informed decisions regarding their finances."
These session were tailor made depending upon the needs to the respective audience. The Bank organised educational clinics on consumer lending products and their respective benefits together with information on Monthly Investment Plans and Collective Investment Schemes. In specific cases the Bank also organized specialized sessions on Pensions
The participants' keen response shows that the market is eager to learn more about the financial services industry, and these initiatives fit perfectly in the Bank's commitment to build long-term working relationship with its customers "It is imperative to take every opportunity to meet customers and explain the spectrum of financial services instruments available to them. A good knowledge of what is available puts one in better control of his finances," said Mr Scicluna Bartoli.
