Air Malta has moved its Malta-Moscow operation to Sheremetyevo Airport Terminal E, the airport's newest terminal inaugurated in 2010.

The airline's timetable has remained unchanged operating a twice weekly service departing from Malta every Friday and Saturday and from Moscow every Saturday and Sunday.

Sheremetyevo airport is the largest and most modern airport in Russia and one of the top 10 fastest growing airports in Europe. It handles over 31 million passengers and 265,000 aircraft movements every year.

Located northwest of central Moscow, the airport is served by a variety of efficient transport modes. It is just 35 minutes away from the city center by the Aeroexpress train.
