To mark World Blood Donor Day, FTIAS Limited organised a blood donation drive for its employees and those of other business partners based at SmartCity Malta, and also extended an invitation to the residents of the nearby local councils of Xgħajra and Kalkara.

The blood donation event formed part of FTIAS's ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and its drive to encourage employees to venture out of their comfort zone and participate in this noble cause. Nowadays, this has become a tradition at FTIAS, with the first blood donation organised in 2008 and from there after regular blood drives have been co-ordinated.

The blood donation drive was held in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Service that seeks to raise awareness of the importance of voluntary blood donation and encourages new and existing blood donors to donate blood regularly throughout the year.
