A young man has been arrested by the police after creating a disturbance in Villa Chelsea in Birkirkara.

Villa Chelsea is run by the Richmond Foundation and offers services to people suffering from mental issues.

Reports arriving at the police initially said that a person had taken hostages, but upon arriving on the scene the police arrested a man who had created the disturbance. A spokesman for the police said that there was never a hostage situation.

The police later said that the 17-year-old threatened other persons with kitchen utensils before he was arrested.
