Malta Police Force and the Panama Papers

Sunday, 26 June 2016, 08:10 Last update: about 11 years ago

I refer to the Malta Police Force which claimed that “there is no reasonable suspicion of any crime having been committed in the wake of Panama Papers information leaks” (TMI, 8th June). To add insult to injury, the Police Force went on to add that no one exerted political pressure to steer clear of launching any sort of investigation into that information.

Due to the above, one hopes that, should the Nationalist Party be returned to government, it would hold Acting Police Commissioner Lawrence Cutajar to account for having failed to execute his duty.
