A naked man was seen walking in St Julian’s on his way to San Gwann this morning.

The man was seen walking in Birkirkara Road. He was carrying clothes on his arms, but was not wearing anything except a pair of socks (no shoes).

He stopped at the traffic lights near The Malta Independent offices before crossing the road towards San Gwann.

Such incidents have increased in number over the past years.

French rugby players were recently fined for being in the nude in front of the Mdina cathedral in May.

That month, a Bulgarian had been arrested for strolling in the nude in Qawra.

In March, another man had been arrested by the police after being seen walking naked along the Sliema and St Julian's promenade.
