Neptunes Grimaldi     14     Exiles Jetfreight     7

(4-1, 2-1, 5-1, 3-2)

Neptunes only spent a day away from the top position in the league table. They swept past the bottom team, but their dominance was really shown after the interval, when a strong third session of play took them away from their opponents. Exiles displayed tenacity for most of the game, as they converted two of their three man ups. Neptunes also fared well, with three nettings from five man ups. Neptunes had young Miguel Zammit missing his first match, his place taken by Luke Gialanze. Sean Gravina was back in the side for Exiles, taking over from Luca Peric.

Milos Vukicevic shot Exiles in front, with Cosmin Radu and Steve Camilleri overturning the score, only for Vukicevic to tie the score. Jordan Camilleri scored a brace, for Neptunes, but David Pace Lupi pulled a goal back for Exiles, with the last shot of the session. In the next period Radu and Niki Lanzon obtaines goals for Neptunes, with Kurt Grixti grabbing a strike for Exiles in between, as Neptunes went in at the interval on a close 6-4 advantage.

After teh break Exiles were hit by the Neptunes waves of attack, Steve Camilleri started with a couple of goals, the second from a penalty. Andrea Bianchi shot home from a distance, for Exiles. Neptunes were not to be denied, adding on three more goals, by Radu, Niki and Ben Lanzon, for a clearer 11-5 advantage. San Giljan Salini Resort     9     Sirens Ritter Sport     4

(4-1, 2-0, 2-0, 1-3)

The champions once more managed to tame the St Paul's Bay outfit, with the game's final score not giving a true account of San Giljan's authority in the match. The Saints are back once more, just a point behind the leaders, Neptunes. Sirens were just a pale shadow of the side that drew against Sliema, as they were unable to pierce the solid champions' defence, even when they had a myriad of opportunities of an extra player in the water. They had a total of fifteen man ups, and only manage three in the last session, with the last two coming in the final minute of play, one of them from a penalty.  The Saints had only three man ups, converting only one of them.

San Giljan established a good lead in the opening session, having Peter Borg, a Boris Vapenski penalty and Matthew Zammit scoring for them. Zak Mizzi pulled a goal back for Sirens, but Paul Fava restored the champions' three goal advantage. In the second period Sirens' deficiences in their man ups cost them dear, with San Giljan opening up their lead, scoring two more goals, from Dino Zammit and another Vapenski penalty. The same Vapenski also had another penalty, but shot straight into Nicki Grixti's chest, in teh Sirens' goal. At the interval the champions were 6-1 ahead.

After the break the tale of missed man ups continued for Sirens, failing four more, with the three they had mised in the previous session. San Giljan had Clint Mercieca and matthew Zammit taking their side to an 8-1 winning margin. In teh last period it was isiah riolo finally scoring from a man up, for Sirens. Dino Zammit replied for San Giljan, then three more missed man ups, before Sergi Mora stepped up for Sirens, given some late freedom, from the close attention he was given by Vapenski. Mora scored twice, the first from a penalty, giving a different slant to the final score, as opposed to what actually happened in the game.

Late winner for league leaders

Ta Xbiex Amigos     9     M'xlokk Fischer     10

(3-2, 1-2, 1-1, 4-5)

The match was close all the way, but the real drama was left for the last quarter, when Ta Xbiex seemed to have broken M'xlokk's run of victories, only for the league leaders to turn the score around, and keep up their winning sequence. Ta Xbiex had Duncan Schembri missing, with Andrew Sammut taking his place. M'xlokk had Kyle Debattista in lieu of Luke Calleja. Ta Xbiex scored in four of their seven man ups, whilst M'xlokk  also netted four, but from nine man ups. This victory kept M'xlokk on a healthy six point advantage over M'scala.

Michele Mifsud and Kurt Mock took ta Xbiex to a double advantage. Brian Buhagiar netted M'xlokk's opener, but Mifsud scored again for ta Xbiex. Buhagiar again netted, as M'xlokk were a goal away from their adversaries. In the second period Karl Galea tied the score for M'xlokk, Jurgen Micallef took his place in the Ta Xbiex goal, with Jake Tanti taking a knock on the face. Mifsud put Ta Xbiex ahead once more, but Sean Meli had M'xlokk on even terms by the interval, on a 4-4 score.

After the break Jerome Zerafa Gregory put Ta Xbiex ahead again. Buhagiar was on hand, to tie the score for M'xlokk, and late in the session George Attard was shown the red card for ta Xbiex.. The last session started on a 5-5 score. Skipper, Christian Gialanze put M'xlokk in front for the first time, only for David Fenech and captain, Rheinhard Attard, to overturn the score in favour of Ta Xbiex. Ivan Vuksanovic finally escaped Adam Maklari's clutches, to level for M'xlokk. Andrew Sammut again had Ta Xbiex ahead, but Meli tied the score once more. Zerafa Gregory took Ta Xbiex in front, late in the match, but there was still a sting in the tail. Vuksanovic didn't take time to shoot in , for another tie, and when Ta Xbiex fritted away their last man up, M'xlokk broke away, with Ranier Scerri smashing home M'xlokk's winning goal. Here ta Xbiex lost coach, Keith Grima Scott, on protests, with M'xlokk holding on till the end of the encounter.
