Heritage Malta, in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo, will be opening for free Cittadella museums and sites under the remit of the agency on Saturday 9th July during the event 'Swar u Ħajja'.

This will take place in order to commemorate the Cittadella inaugural season of events after an extensive programme of restoration works on this fortified city  inaugurated earlier this month.

Museums and sites to open for free are the Gozo Museum of Archaeology, the Old Prison, the Gozo Natural Museum and the newly refurbished Gran Castello Historic House (formerly known as the Folklore Museum).

The Gran Castello Historic House will also be hosting artisans who will showcase their trade, such as cotton weaving, lace making, spinning, and others. 

Heritage Malta museums and sites will be open between 19.30hrs and midnight (last admission 23.30hrs).
