As if the Kappara road works are not enough to slow down traffic, a multiple-car accident on the lanes leading to the Santa Venera tunnels temporarily caused a chaotic situation in the area.
Drivers were for a time urged to keep away and find alternate toutes.
The accident involved a Fiat Uno, a Ford Focus and a Toyota Vitz, with the Fiat driver being hospitalised.
