"This year's Malta Sports Day will be held on Friday, 15th July at the Marsa Sports Complex . This event will bring together 25 companies from the iGaming industry, who will be participating in an action-packed day of intense competition and fun in an effort to raise funds for local philanthropic organisations. This year we aim to exceed €15,000 mark that was raised from last year's event." This was announced by Kevin Buttigieg, Chief Executive Re/Max Malta during a press briefing to launch the event which was held at Tapaz  in St Julians. The launch was also attended by the Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth and Sport, Hon Chris Agius and Max Zammit representing the Ministry for Competitiveness and Digital, Maritime and Services Economy.

Mr Buttigieg added that the  objective of the sports day is to bring the local iGaming industry closer by participating in various track, field and other sports with the aim of raising money for charity. Apart from being an action packed activity, the sports day helps the employees in the iGaming industry to get to know each other better.

The Malta Sports Day will consist of 21 events which will include high jump, steeple chase, tug of war, hurdles, water bucket relay, sack race and potato race amongst others. The events will commence at 17:00 hrs and come to an end at 21:00 hrs followed by a presentation ceremony. The sports day is open to all companies who can sponsor a team of employees to participate in this great team-building manifestation where all the proceeds will go to charity.
