Valletta 2018 Chairman Jason Micallef said he was never offered the Chief of PBS job and was never interested in occupying the post and wished all the best for John Bundy in his new role as head of the Public Broadcasting Services.
In comments to The Malta Independent, Mr Micallef described Mr Bundy as an excellent broadcaster with a lot of experience in the field. "I really hope that he manages to carry out the much needed restructuring at PBS."
Asked if he was ever approached for the job, Mr Micallef said that he was never approached and he was never interested in it.
A vote taken by the PBS Board confirmed John Bundy's role as Chief of PBS. Charles Dalli was chosen as Deputy CEO. Mr Micallef never held back from criticizing former head of PBS, Mr Anton Attard in numerous Facebook posts, including rants about Eurovision related failures.
