A road with no name

Sunday, 14 August 2016, 09:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

One of the oldest roads in Safi that once connected Kirkop and Safi to Birzebugia still has no name. There are two historical places on this street –the Roman Tower known as Tal-Gawhar and the garden of Sir Alexander Ball. I can’t understand why after all these years Safi Local Council and Transport Malta are still refusing to name this road, which once was known to everyone as Triq Bir-Zebbugia. Recently, a parallel road was named as Sqaq il Karwijja after two cars collided on this road.

I hope the Safi local council will give this road a name without further delay.
