As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), The Convenience Shops have recently announced a new partnership with the Malta National Blood Transfusion Centre to provide post donation snacks to blood and platelet donors.
"Having a snack after donating blood is important, and we are honoured to be the source of that nutrition to blood donors after they give blood," said Andrew Attard Operations Manager, The Convenience Shops.
In a recent blood drive The Convenient Shop employees volunteered to donate blood with over half of them being registered as first time donors. "It was really gratifying to see a number of employees registering as donors for the first time, and supporting each other while thinking of others. I am proud to be part of this wonderful team whilst committing ourselves to hold future blood donations" added Mr Attard.
Blood donation seeks to ensure an adequate supply of blood. Organisations interested in organising similar activities to the one organised by The Convenience Shops may contact the Malta National Blood Transfusion Centre on telephone number 2123 4767 or 2206 6201 or by email on [email protected]. One may also call on free phone 8007 4313 or make use of the Blood Donors MT Mobile App.
