I am now more convinced than ever that the greatest fear gripping the minds of the unelected Brussels bureaucrats is that the UK could, after all, very well make a big success out of its withdrawal from the European Union – which would open the floodgates for more member states to organise an ‘in-out’ referendum.

As more time passes, the fear that had gripped 48 per cent of the British people and businesses will slowly diminish, and optimism that the UK can make it despite the doom and gloom predictions of eurocrats all over Europe, will gradually keep increasing. This is already happening. The new UK Prime Minister, Theresa May, and her cabinet have already lined up a good number of non-EU countries for post-Brexit free-trade agreements. The populations of these countries already amount to around seven times those of the EU – up to now!

I wish Theresa May and her government, as well as the British people, success in their endeavours to make the United Kingdom once again a truly independent and sovereign state.
