Following last year's success, Maltco Lotteries, Malta's national lottery brand, will again be participating in the European Week of Sport (EWOS) awareness, in collaboration with SportMalta.

The European Week of Sport is an initiative of the European Commission seeking to raise awareness about the benefits of sport and physical activity in our daily lives. European Lotteries members like Maltco Lotteries contribute to the sustainable development of grassroots and amateur sport and participate in the development of the European sport model.As a member of the European Lotteries, Maltco Lotteries is sponsoring the two main sport challenges on the weekend of the 10th and 11th held under the tents provided on the B'Bugia beach.

On Saturday 10th; from 18:00 till 22:00 it will be Martial Arts Area - in which individuals may participate in open classes of different Martial Arts disciplines - training provided by professional and qualified Trainers.On Sunday 11th, it is the Maltco Indoor Rowing Challenge, starting at 9:00am till noon. There will be many different categories in which the public can participate in, including Corporate Teams, under 10,12 and 15 boys and girls races, special category races as well as men's and women's open events and age events for over 35's, 45's and 55's. All 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category will be awarded a medal during the appropriate medal ceremonies. This includes the team event. Participation in the sport event is free.
