In his second video blog (vlog) for The Malta Independent portal, Salvu Mallia speaks about the reasons why he is seeking to contest the next election on the Nationalist Party ticket.

He says he decided to enter the political fray because he wants to help rid the country of a “clique that has used the PL to gain power for its own less-than-honourable reasons.”

Mr Mallia says at first he considered contesting as an independent candidate then looked to the smaller parties. He says, however, that he did not want to contribute to a weakening of the Opposition’s vote. Given the “national emergency” and current circumstances, the PN was the best choice, he says.
