Taking the recent controversy about the opening of a prayer room for Muslims in St Paul’s Bay, Mallia argues that he finds no problem with different races and cultures, but sees different religions as creating difficulties, simply because religions tend to impose themselves on others.

“I would prefer it if religions do not exist,” he says.
