MITA, on behalf of the Maltese Government, has presented the National Cyber Security Strategy to the Workshop on Network and Information Security in the EU at Bratislava, Slovakia. The event took place on Monday, 17th October 2016.
During the workshop, which was organised by the European Network Information Security Agency (ENISA) in conjunction with the National Security Authority of Slovakia and the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the EU, MITA's Consultant on Cyber Strategy, Dr Keith Cilia Debono presented Malta's National Cyber Security Strategy.
MITA's representative also delivered the presentation: 'Malta's National Cyber Security Strategy - A Practical Approach' which outlined the approach undertaken by Malta to articulate the strategy, along with its underlying principles as well as its key goals on the domestic front within the context of the wider European Union level focus.
At the same event, Dr Cilia Debono also formed part of a panel, which was chaired by ENISA and which discussed challenges of implementing a National Cyber Security Strategy.
ENISA organises an annual workshop specifically aimed at sharing developments and good practices among EU Member States in the development and implementation of their national cyber security strategies.
