Angelo Chetcuti, Vice-President of Birzebbugia FC, has been appointed as the new General Secretary of the Malta Football Association.

An MFA Council and EXCO member, Chetcuti is well know within the football circles. A lawyer by profession, he has worked for the past 12 years within the institutions of the European Union, and for the past three years with the European Parliament.

Married with two children, 36-year-old Dr Chetucti replaces Bjorn Vassallo who earlier on took up an esteemed post at FIFA.  Chetucti’s new appointment will commence as of 1 December.
