Labour MEP Miriam Dalli today warns that an increase in resistance to antibiotics is so detrimental to people’s health that it is estimated that 10 million will die as a result of this by the year 2050.
In her vlog, Dr Dalli says that abuse of antibiotics as well as medicine consumed indirectly from food is of great concern to the European Parliament.
She said that she is urging the European authorities to tackle the situation before it is too late.
