The Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation ethics board in the past has refused donations from certain individuals and companies because they ethically felt it is not right, President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca said.

Interviewed by The Malta Independent news editor Rachel Attard on INDEPTH, the President said that there were instances which led to a refusal of a donation after a serious discussion by the ethics board.

Dr Coleiro Preca said she does not rely solely on her judgment, and that is why she has an ethics board which is ultimately responsible for the acceptance or otherwise of contributions.
