A man and a woman were seriously injured last night in a fight that took place in St Paul’s Bay at 9pm, the police said.

A 30-year-old woman, resident of Siggiewi, and a 31-year-old man of Attard were victims of an attack by a number of persons in Gifen Street.

The two were taken to the Mosta health centre for treatment.

The police later arrested a 23-year-old of Mosta who was allegedly involved in the accident. He was also taken to the health centre to be treated for slight injuries. He is still in police custody.
