Three Wyoming State troopers are counting their lucky stars after this horrible accident in which their patrol car was flattened under a container truck.

The accident took place last Tuesday on Interstate 80, near Elk Mountain, Wyoming

The truck was toppled by strong winds as it was driving alongside the stopped police car. No one was in the patrol car at the time as the officers were outside assisting others. Incredibly, the truck driver and a passenger also escaped unhurt.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol said they released the footage to illustrate the importance of following wind advisories. They wrote on Facebook: “Three Wyoming State Troopers were on scene providing care for motorists who were involved in previous crashes. Because of this, thankfully, all troopers were out of their patrol cars assisting others and were not injured."
