There is a need for Woman’s Day, as in spite of the advances made in society over the past years, there are still many who believe that women are inferior to men, Labour MEP Miriam Dalli says.

In her vlog today, Dr Dalli said that Woman’s Day is for those women who are never given opportunities, who are abused at home, who are not given promotions because they are women, for those mothers who make sacrifices to bring up their children.

On this day, we should focus on how to really ascertain that there is equality between the sexes.
