Sliema Betsson overcame their arch rivals Neptunes 8-5 yesterday in the Winter League.

The Blues led 1-0 at the end of the first session with a Zach Mizzi goal.

Neptunes equalised through Jordan Camilleri in the second session, but Edward Aquilina put Sliema 2-1 ahead before the end of the session.

Aquilina then scored twice in the third session to make it 4-1 before Sean Gravina made it 4-2. Aquilina scored again for Sliema to put them 5-2 ahead, but two Niki Lanzon goals for Neptunes made it 5-4 at the end of the third session.

In the final session Jeremy Abela made it 5-5, but Zach Mizzi, M. Spiteri Staines and Zach Mizzi again gave Sliema victory.
