PN Leader Simon Busuttil will go before Magistrate Natasha Galea Sciberras and present his evidence, regarding the allegations he made against OPM chief of Staff Keith Schembri and Nexia BT's Brian Tonna, tomorrow morning.
Dr Busuttil had alleged that Nexia BT's Brian Tonna received payments from three Russians for the sale of citizenship, which he then transferred to OPM Chief of Staff Keith Schembri. Mr Schembri and Mr Tonna are denying the allegations.
Dr Busuttil had originally appeared before Magistrate Aaron Bugeja, who was looking into separate allegations regarding Prime Minister Joseph Muscat's wife, Michelle, and the Panama company Egrant.
Magistrate Natasha Galea Sciberras was appointed to look into the case after Magistrate Aaron Bugeja ruled that the evidence presented by Dr Busuttil is enough for a Magisterial inquirt to be launched into Keith Schembri and Nexia BT director Brian Tonna. He was unable however, to look into these allegations himself.
Chief Justice Silvio Camilleri selected the Magistrate Galea Sciberras for the inquiry through a blind lot a few days ago.
