The reception at the PN's mass meeting in Zebbug on Sunday showed that people wanted change, PN Leader Simon Busuttil told a political activity in the locality.
He said when he entered politics in Malta all he felt was division in the government, mired by corruption. However, he understood that he needed to fight to clean the system and was determined to do so.
It was for this reason that the Nationalist Party opened its doors to everyone.
He said that Forza Nazzjonali was the force of reason, because those involved understand that together there is nothing that cannot be achieved.
"If three people want to destroy our country, they will find us waiting for them!"
Dr Busuttil answered questions concerning his government should he get elected, he repeated that the goal will be to clean the system once and for all.
He insisted that a PN-led administration would offer more as he referred to the economic proposals he has began to outline this week.
So far the PN have unveiled a number of tax policies, including the removal of the unpopular excise duty on cosmetic products and toiletries (SISA)
"Even if the economy is doing well, it is not working for the people, and if this is not the case, it is not a strong economy at all."
He pointed as his proposals of a 10% tax rate for workers who earn up to 20,000 euro per year is evidence that the PN was committed to creating an economy for the people.
He criticised Dr Muscat's rejection of the PN's proposals.
"He says they are discriminatory. Wasn't cafe premier discriminatory? Gaffarena? Australian Hall? Konrad Mizzi? Keith Schembri?"

He closed by referencing the animal welfare proposals the PN announced today and said that a country can only be judged on the way it treats its animals.
PD Candidate Dr Godfrey Farrugia, who resigned as Labour Whip and from the Party a week ago, is running in the district.
He began by telling the cheering crowd to "imagine what will happen in five years under Joseph Muscat and the people around him. What will happen to good governance? Environmental sustainability? Social justice?"
He said that the Labour government had lost all their principles and were forced to call an early election.
"In a time when we are meant to be the centrepiece of the EU," he said.
Dr Farrugia, who also spoke at the mass meeting last weekend, said that Zebbug and the areas that surrounded it had a proud tradition of hard workers, small businesses, culture, and hunting.
Speaking to hunters and trappers directly he said, "I always fought for you and will continue to, it is not a criminal act to have a hobby."
He closed by saying that in this moment of honesty he chose Malta, and urged followers to do so.
Deputy Leader Beppe Fenech Adami, who is contesting in the 7th District for the first time, spoke at the event telling the crowd not to forget how Joseph Muscat called for a snap-election.
"He has led the most corrupt government in the history of Malta," he said to applause.
"The first thing that came to Muscat's head was to rent his own car out to the government and take money from the taxpayers."
He closed by repeating his father's famous phrase "Is-sewwa jirbah zgur".
