The fourteen year-old Maltese singer, Destiny Chukunyere who received a standing ovation after singing at Britain's Got Talent last week, has made it to the program's semi final.

She is one of the singers amongst the confirmed top 40 contestants in the sem-finals.

On a Facebook post, Destiny broke her news by writing "So happy, made it through the semifinals of Britain's Got Talent. To all my British fans please vote for me I need your help to make it to the finals. Love you all."

Destiny will go on to perform live in the program next week, in a bid to make her way into the grand final.

Destiny previously won the Junior Eurovision in 2015.
