Helena Dalli (left) repeated the feat she made in 2008, and was elected on two districts in the 2017 election.
The Labour candidate, who served as Civil Dialogue Minister in the past legislature, made it to Parliament from the second and third districts.
Nationalist Marthese Portelli (right) became only the third woman in a century to be elected on two districts in the same election.
Dr Portelli’s achievement is different as she is the first of the three to have been elected from the Gozo district which, given the channel between the two islands, made her campaigning all the more difficult.
Dr Portelli was elected on the 15th count in Gozo, and on the 29th count on the ninth district.
The only other woman to be elected on two districts was Dolores Cristina in 2008.
