Three men were arrested by the police yesterday after they were caught enticing people to play the three-cup shuffle trick.

The police said that at 10am, police officers observed five men who were acting suspiciously near City Gate. They were followed by the officers and two of them began encouraging people to play the game, which is illegal.

The two men, one from Macedonia and the other from Romania, were arrested.

In the evening, a third man, also from Romania, was observed enticing people to play the same game in St Julian’s. He was also arrested.
