Prime Minister Joseph Muscat told CNN during an interview that he is not the only EU leader who believes that Brexit might not happen.
Asked to reveal who the other leaders are, Muscat said he could not do that.
Muscat had originally made his beliefs public in an interview with a Dutch newspaper a few days ago. He had told Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant, that he saw signs that British public opinion is turning. He said he hopes a British politician will "stand up with the courage" to offer voters a new referendum on the final Brexit deal.
The UK is currently in talks with the EU over the conditions of Brexit, following a referendum in which the British people voted to leave the EU.
