A wedding celebration in Hal Far offered a little more excitement than any of the guests bargained for as a fight erupted and left two police officers injured.

It appears the fight broke out at around 1am right outside the wedding venue in Hal Far. The newlyweds had just cut the cake and guests started to march out slowly. It was at this moment, as the guest walked for their respective cars that a violent fight broke out.

The police officers, who were assigned to provide their security services during the event, intervened to try and stop the two people from hurting each other. The police officers were injured and a guest was arrested.

An ambulance was called on site to assist the injured.
