During the weekend of Saturday, 19 and Sunday, 20 August Air Malta operated successfully its busiest weekend of the year carrying 12,210 passengers with a seat load factor of around 90%. The airline carried 1,200 (+11%) more passengers than the corresponding period last year.
"For many of our guests, the weekend was the start of holidays and we are happy that they chose to travel on Air Malta. With over 80 flights operated on schedule, we had a very busy operation of welcoming our guests on board the airline of the Maltese islands," said Paul Sies, Air Malta's chief Commercial officer.
