Mourners this morning paid tribute to slain journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, two months after she was killed by a car bomb.

The group #occupyjustice organised a mass at the Bidnija church, which was followed by a short visit to the place where the journalist was killed.

The mourners carried poinsettias, a symbol associated with Christmas, placing them in the shape of a question mark on the area where the journalist's care ended up after the blast.

Roughly 80 people turned up for the tribute, including her husband, sisters and parents. Among the mourners members of the Nationalist Party and Partit Demokratiku.

Near the flowers, a banner was placed with the words: "We need to know WHO. We need to know WHY? We need to see justice. We demand answers. We need change. We will not rest. #Occupy justice"

A banner with her last words - "The situation is desperate" - was placed at the edge of the road where she was murdered.

Caruana Galizia was killed on 16 October. Three men have been charged with her murder.
