Helping missionaries through Mission Fund

Sunday, 24 December 2017, 07:19 Last update: about 7 years ago

I am a Maltese religious of the Congregation of Our Lady of Sion and have worked in Jerusalem for the last 52 years. My stay here has been blessed by many joys, first and foremost by living in the Holy Land where Jesus was born, lived and died for us. It is also in Jerusalem that the Lord rose from the dead and restored our relationship with the Father. As you know, the passion of the Lord continues today in the sufferings of the people who, as a result of conflict, struggle very hard to survive and make ends meet.

My ministry here has been mainly as an educator and to engage in interfaith encounters. In this context I meet many families who are in great need, especially in these difficult times. The Mission Fund, founded in Malta on 16 April 1984, works very hard to raise funds to help Maltese and Gozitan missionaries working in other countries and periodically sends us money to help those in need.

This is an appeal to help the Mission Fund by sending used postage stamps and/or donations that can support the work of us Maltese missionaries.

Donations may be made on line or by direct bank transfer to one of the following accounts: HSBC (A/c No. 061 197 448 050), BOV (A/c No. 163 007 980 19), APS (A/c No. 200 008 207 62) or BANIF (A/c No. 000 879 631 01).

More information about our work can be found on the Fund's website: www.missionfund.org.mt
