Rev Hurst explained how when the project first started out in June 2015, around 6-10 clients would benefit from this initiative on a weekly basis. Now however this number has soared to 60-80 families per week, highlighting the great need in the local community. This initiative supports those on social benefits as well as those who are unable to continue working due to terminal illness. In order for this programme to run smoothly, Valletta Foodbank require around €2,500 per week and therefore rely on the support of schools and other organisations to contribute financially or in kind.

Besides this Centrecom and its employees presented €2,000 towards the Malta Community Chest Fund Istrina initiative as well as sponsored and participated in the Hospice Midnight Walk during the Festive Season.
