A man lifted a heavy Labrador over his shoulders to enter a shop where pets are not allowed to roam, not even on a leash – and someone filmed his feat and posted it on Facebook.

The dog, weighing around 30 kilos, happily observed its surroundings as the man lifted it up just outside the shop, Zara in Sliema, and walked inside with it.

The well-built man at one point jokingly asked the dog which garment it liked, to the laughter of those around him.

The shop has a strict policy that pets are only allowed inside if they are carried.
