New appointments at Vassallo Group

Due to the successful growth of Vassallo Group over the past few years Pio Vassallo has assumed assume the full responsibility of Group Chief Executive Officer.

He will be focusing his efforts on Group Strategy outlined in the group's Vision 2023, strengthening the synergy between the various companies forming the Vassallo Group and representing the Vassallo Group in all of its current and future partnerships. To this end, Mr Vassallo has stepped down as the Chief Executive Officer of Vassallo Builders Limited but will remain an Executive Director on the Board.

Pio Vassallo received his undergraduate degree in Construction Management from the University of Reading in 1999 and is presently reading for his Masters Degree in Business Administration. He has been with the group since graduating from university and holds directorships on the boards of  a number of subsidiaries and directorships in all of the associate companies of the group in the hospitality and real estate sectors amongst others.

Following this, Vassallo Builders Limited announces that Jonathan Buttigieg has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Vassallo Builders Limited.

Mr Buttigieg has been in employment with the company since 1993 and recently occupied the position of Deputy CEO and Commercial Director. He has served as a company director on Building Consultancy Services Limited, Makeezi Limited and is currently a company director of Powerezi Limited and MIDI plc.

Mr Buttigieg has been a participating director on the Vassallo Group Strategy Board since 1999 and has represented Vassallo Builders in several joint venture projects throughout his career.

Jonathan Buttigieg received his undergraduate degree as a Civil Engineer from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Toronto in 1992 and then went on to successfully read for his Masters Degree in Construction Management from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Bath in 1999.

These changes come into effect today.
