A Swiss elderly man died this afternoon after falling into the sea off a cliff in Wied il-Mielah, limits of Gharb.
The incident took place at 3pm.
The 69-year-old was lifted out of the water by members of the Civil Protection Department. He was certified dead on site.
Magistrate Joanne Vella Cuschieri is conducting an inquiry.
