Last weekend the Malta Table Football Sports Association (MTFSA) organised the National League for the clubs and the knock-out tournament. Three clubs participated in these events, Valletta Subbuteo Club, Valletta Lions TFC and Bormla Subbuteo Club.
Valletta Subbuteo Club were crowned Champions for the 14th time in their history and the 7th time in a row. Valletta Subbuteo Club was composed of Derek Conti, Joseph Borg Bonaci, Mario Camilleri and Samuel Bartolo. Valletta Subbuteo club won all the games except for one draw.
Bormla Subbuteo Club won the Knock-out competition for the first time in their history. Bormla Subbuteo Club was composed of Mauro Camilleri, Josef Camilleri, Charlie Aquilina, Mark Gauci, Joseph Mifsud, George Ebejer and their greek player Alberto di Maggio. Bormla Subbuteo Club eliminated Valletta Subbuteo Club in the qualifying phase, then beat Valletta Lions TFC in the final.
Valletta Lions TFC also fielded a strong formation but were unable to leave their mark in both competitions. Valletta Lions TFC, was composed of Adrian Bonnici, Alfred Bonnici, Jamie Bonnici, Melvin Barun and Hector Scerri.
Valletta Subbuteo Club earned the right to represent Malta in the FISTF Champions League and Bormla Subbuteo Club earned the right to represent Malta in the FISTF Europa League.
