Italian boxing Olympic champion Patrizio Oliva (above, right) has opened up a mozzarella business in Malta, Italian media report.

Oliva, who won the gold medal in the light welterweight division in the 1980 Olympic Gamea held in Moscow, said he will now divide his life between his beloved Naples and St Julian’s.

“I do not know how to stay put,” Oliva told Italian media. “I accepted the invitation of two friends, the Neapolitan entrepreneurs Massimo Palumbo and Giuliano Cimmino, creators of the Himù brand, and I plunged into this new and exciting adventure. After all, sacrifices and challenges have always marked every minute of my life ".

Oliva has involved another former champion, as well as a long-time friend, cyclist Claudio "El diablo" Chiappucci and Miss Italy Chef 2017 Samira Lui (above, left).

The curd is exported to Malta from Cilento, in the Campania region. It is then cut into pieces ranging from 25 to 250 grammes.
