Gozitan Brothers Marlon and Marcello Attard won the top podium places in The Keepers Skeet Selection organized by The Malta Shooting Sport Federation this weekend. Darren Vella finished third in the final stages.
This event was on 125 clays skeet, with the top six to qualify for the finals. During this event Bozidar Dimitrov managed a straight of 25/25.
Marlon Attard placed 1st with 115/125 - 15-24-34-44-53+s/off+4
Marcello Attard placed 2nd with 114/125 - 19-27-35-45-53+s/off+3
Darren Vella placed 3rd with 115/125 - 17-25-35-42.
Joe Muscat placed 4th with 111/125 - 18-25-32.
Bozidar Dimitrov placed 5th with 115/125 - 17-24
Jason Sciberras placed 6th with 113/125 - 15.

Frank Scorfna wins the E.A.R. Trap Trophy
Frank Scorfna won the E.A.R. Trap Competition at the Southern Shooting Club, an event that was organised on two qualification rounds of twenty-five clay targets each. Veteran Scorfna was joined on the podium by another veteran shooter, George Cassar who finished in second place overall who on the other hand was followed by Carmel Briffa as he finished in position number three.
This weekend’s final was dominated by shooters from Class B, as the only shooter to come from a different class was Frank Scorfna who competes in class A. To qualify for the Final Stages, George Cassar had to go through a three-way shoot-off versus Emmanuel Zammit and Carmel Grech, while Scorfna and Zammit had a shoot-off for Bib numbers 2 and 3. Stephen Aquilina beat Angel Ciappara to take Bib number 4 in the other shoot-off.
The six Finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualification scores were; Carmel Briffa scored 45/50, Frank Scorfna shot 41/50, Rudolph Zammit hit 41/50, Stephen Aquilina
managed 40/50, Angel Ciappara totalled 40/50 and George Cassar qualified with 38/50.
