“The government aims to introduce free school bus service smoothly in September,” Permanent Secretary in the Education Ministry Frank Fabri said.
Interviewed by The Malta Independent editor-in-chief Rachel Attard on INDEPTH, Fabri said that the service will gradually cover all kindergarten, primary and secondary school students. “We do not want to disrupt schools and we need to be cautious when we introduce this service.”
Fabri said that there will be supervision on each bus and coach. We will engage a number a persons as supervisors and these will be paid for by the state, he said.
Full interview will be uploaded tomorrow.
