Two Italian men were arrested in Ragusa as the police seized 330 kilogrammes of marijuana possibly destined to Malta, Italian media report.
The value of the drugs was estimated at €3.3 million, the reports said.
The two men were arrested on a Sicily highway outside Ragusa on board a trailer which was supposed to have been carrying vegetables and which was found to be carrying the drugs.
The Italian police suspect that the drugs were destined for Malta, the reports said.
