In the MAPFRE /MSV Life MASTERS PREMIER LEAGUE, DINGLI DESANA and MARSA WHITE STARS dangled the second of their games which was abandoned some days ago due to heavy rain after the first half with Dingli leading 3-1. Like what they did in the first half, DINGLI continued to dominate and merited their important win 8-4. Defending well and having a formidable attack they played some attracting moves with Simon Shead the great finisher, scoring no less than six goals and he is almost sure to finish as top scorer of the league. Marsa White Stars tried hard but with Gilbert Scerri well marked they could not keep up with their opponents. With this result Wardija are back in business and we anticipate an interesting finish for the title.

Valleta getting near, good win for Zurrieq Wolves
VALLETTA ST. PAULI had a merited win and a double against Melita 8-4 and is getting nearer to win the title in the CISK MASTERS DIVISION ONE LEAGUE. At the beginning one would have expected that Melita would be giving a much harder opposition. They shared play, but before the break Valletta took a lead of 4-2. Melita the team behind them in second place were dominated in the second half and Michael Galea, top scorer of the league so far, was well covered by the Valletta defenders. But he was also very unfortunate on some occasions. Valletta had a player that made all the difference, Gilbert Agius, who not only scored five goals, but was always dangerous whenever he got the ball. He is an exceptional player that is continuing his brilliant career in Masters competitions. But Valletta is not only Gilbert. They form a very strong team and all the players guided by coach Etienne Sammut are well prepared physically. As for Melita in the second half they did not react, and goalkeeper Sean Sullivan was kept very busy and denied Valletta from further goals with some good saves.
ZURRIEQ WOLVES had a good win beating TARGA GAP 7-4, their third win in the league to go joint fourth in the standings. From the first whistle, Zurrieq Wolves gave their intension of being successful and before the break they built an advantage of 4-1. At the beginning of the second half Targa Gap played much better and reduced the score to 4-3, but Zurrieq Wolves quickly reacted and scored three to the one by their opponents. Their player Roderick Caruana was voted as the best player of the game and scored two goals to help his club getting these important three points
