Bormla International Open 2018 was organised last weekend and was held at St George’s Band Club in Cospicua. 

Bormla Subbuteo Club was the winner of the team events. The team was composed of Charlie Aquilina, Mauro Camilleri, George Ebejer and Josef Camilleri. Valletta Lions TFC obtained the second position in this tournament.

In the under 19 category, Melvin Barun of Valletta Lions TFC won the category with score difference over Jurgen Balzan of Black & Blue Pisa.

Charlie Aquilina was the winner of the Veteran Category with 13 points over Jason Pisani who had 11 points.

The Open Category, was played on Sunday. Charlie Aquilina was the winner of this category as well.  Aquilina played the final against Massimo Cremona of Reggio Emilia. The score of the game was 1-1 and remained the same even after the extra time so after the ‘shots’ the final result was 4-2 in favour of Aquilina.  The semi-finalists were Josef Camilleri of Bormla SC and Jean Tabone of Salernitana CT.
