Malta wins Gold Medal in first day of the Mediterranean Bowling Championships 2018.

Justin Caruana Scicluna dominated the men's event, beating off a late challenge from the respective champions from Turkey, Greece  and France.

This is the second time that Justin wins GOLD in the singles event, having won gold in Slovenia in 2013.   

The 2018 event is being held in Ankara.

The Championships continue on Wednesday with the Doubles event, an event where Malta has a glorious history and our athletes are prepared to face off the challenge from the top countries, namely Italy, France, Greece, Spain and Turkey.
